1950年代初期のアメリカ製ヴィンテージジーンズを細かく分析し、当時の素材感や縫製仕様、シルエットを再現することを目指して開発した5ポケットジーンズです。

素材には、1953年製の旧式紡績機で紡いだ糸を使用し、旧式のシャットル織機でゆっくりと織り上げたorSlowオリジナルのセルビッジデニムを採用しています。

当時のデニム特有の自然なムラ感を再現するため、糸の太さや不規則なムラの出方、織り組織に至るまでこだわって開発しました。着用と洗濯を繰り返すことで、1950年代初期のヴィンテージジーンズを思わせる自然な縦落ちや不規則な色落ちが現れ、独特の風合いへと経年変化していきます。

縫製には、デニムと同じ綿100％の縫製糸を使用しています。綿糸はポリエステル糸とは異なり、生地とともに自然に色落ちや風合いが変化し、長年穿き込まれたヴィンテージジーンズのような表情を生み出します。

また、1950年代当時の製法を参考にしているため、着用や洗濯を繰り返すことで脇線が右方向にねじれていく現象が見られます。これは「レッグツイスト」と呼ばれる、当時の防縮・ねじれ防止加工が十分に施されていないデニムに見られる特徴のひとつです。製品の不具合ではなく、ヴィンテージジーンズの自然な経年変化を再現したものです。

シルエットは、orSlowの定番モデル「105 STANDARD DENIM」と比較して、ゆとりを持たせたストレートフィット。1950年代初期のジーンズらしい、無骨でゆったりとしたシルエットに仕上げています。

Inspired by American-made vintage jeans from the early 1950s, this five-pocket model was carefully developed through an in-depth study of authentic denim from that era, with particular attention to fabric texture, construction details, and silhouette.

The fabric is orSlow's original selvedge denim, woven slowly on traditional shuttle looms using yarns spun on a vintage spinning machine manufactured in 1953.

To recreate the distinctive character of early 1950s denim, special attention was given to yarn thickness, natural irregularities, and weave construction. With repeated wear and washing, the fabric develops beautiful, irregular vertical fading and natural variations in color, capturing the authentic aging characteristics of vintage jeans from that period.

The jeans are sewn using 100% cotton thread, just as traditional jeans were made during the 1950s. Unlike modern polyester sewing threads, cotton thread naturally ages and changes in appearance along with the denim, creating the distinctive character of well-worn vintage jeans.

Another characteristic of this model is the natural twisting of the legs that develops through repeated wear and washing. Known as "leg twist," this phenomenon occurs due to the characteristics of traditional denim construction and the absence of modern twist-control finishing processes.

As the jeans age, the outseams gradually twist toward the right, just as they did on original jeans from the early 1950s. This is not a manufacturing defect but an intentional reproduction of an authentic vintage denim characteristic.

The silhouette features a relaxed straight fit with more room throughout compared to orSlow's classic 105 Standard Denim, reflecting the relaxed, rugged proportions of early 1950s American jeans.
